Bayern Munich’s head of scouting Nils Schmadtke is the preferred candidate for SG Dynamo Dresden’s vacant sporting director position.

According to BILD however, convincing Schmadtke to leave his post at the Bavarians will be a challenging task.

Bayern originally brought Schmadtke in as the club’s new head of scouting on 1 October 2024 to replace the outgoing Markus Pilawa.

Dynamo need to find a new sporting director by the beginning of December to plan and prepare for the winter transfer window.

With a total of 7 points from a solitary win, four draws and seven defeats, the East German club sit 17th in the 2.Bundesliga table.
