It was communicated in June that Toni Kroos has put on hold discussions regarding his contract renewal.
According to Sergio Santos at Relevo, no further talks have taken place since then, with the player standing firm by his decision of revaluating the situation towards the end of the upcoming season.
As things stand, Kroos’ contract with Real Madrid is set to expire in June 2023. The player has insisted that he wants to leave the club at his peak and he will decide whether to continue or not based on his physical condition. Florentino Pérez is confident that the player will maintain his current level and will change his mind about hanging up his boots and commit to Los Blancos beyond his current deal.
Kroos joined Real Madrid from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014. Since then, he has won four Champions League and three La Liga titles with the club.
