Borussia Dortmund could reignite interest in former transfer target Edson Alvarez, if Mexican paper El Universal is anything to go by.
Die Schwarzgelben showed a desire to sign Alvarez two season ago before he ultimately chose to join West Ham United.
However, the daily Mexican newspaper has grounds to believe that BVB have enquired about the midfielder’s contract situation at the London club.
Other sides are believed to have an interest in the 27-year-old, including AS Monaco from Ligue 1.
While Alvarez is usually a starting player for the Hammers, the club’s hierarchy are reportedly only partially satisfied with his performances.
