Borussia Dortmund confirmed the departure of youngsters Hendry Blank and Julian Rijkhoff late on Thursday.

Blank, 19, who recently made his Bundesliga debut, has joined RB Salzburg on a permanent basis.

“Hendry approached us proactively with this very short-notice transfer request. He already wants to get as much match practice as possible at the highest level now and to take this new path to this end,” said Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

“We wish him all the very best for his sporting future and will keep a very close eye on his development in Austria over the coming years.”

Meanwhile, Rijkhoff, who’s also 19, has rejoined Ajax, who he left to join Dortmund in January 2021.

“Julian played an impressive role during his time in the U19 side and made a significant contribution to the team’s success,” said Dortmund youth performance centre director Lars Ricken.

“We would like to thank him for his commitment and professional attitude. We respect his decision and wish him all the best and every success in his future sporting career. We’re confident he’ll continue to successfully demonstrate his strengths and talent at his new club.”
