Reports in England have recently claimed that Arsenal and Newcastle United are interested in Borussia Dortmund attacker Julian Brandt.
However, the Bundesliga side are not interested in letting the 27-year-old go.
“We didn’t give Julian Brandt a long-term contract until 2026 in April for nothing,” Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl emphasized in an interview with Bild.
“He is a very important part of our team. That’s why a transfer is not an option.”
Brandt has scored six goals and laid on five assists in 16 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund this season.
He joined the Black and Yellows from Bayer Leverkusen in 2019 for a reported fee of 25 million euros.
