It appears Borussia Dortmund will have to manage without one of their key players at the back when they face Inter in their final game of the league phase of this season’s edition of the Champions League.
According to Sky Germany, Waldemar Anton was absent when the team departed for their hotel and will miss the match due to an infection.
With Anton sidelined, Ramy Bensebaini is expected to start in central defence alongside Nico Schlotterbeck and Emre Can, while Daniel Svensson could fill the left wing-back spot.
Dortmund need a win to have a chance of claiming a spot directly in the round of 16. However, even in the case of a win, it’s likely that the Black and Yellows will have to settle for a playoff spot.
