After weeks of negotiations over the transfer of Donyell Malen, a breakthrough appears to have been reached between Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa.
According to Sky Germany, the parties have agreed on a fixed fee of €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons, of which €3 million is guaranteed.
Only a few details remain to be ironed out before the Dutchman’s move to Aston Villa can be completed.
Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin revealed on Monday that he didn’t know whether Donyell Malen would be in the squad to face Holstein Kiel on Tuesday because of the negotiations with Aston Villa.
Malen last came on as a substitute with 12 minutes left of Dortmund’s 2-3 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday.
That was likely his final game for Dortmund, for whom he has made 132 appearances, scoring 39 goals and providing 20 assists.
