Germany’s main sporting tabloid reports that Kasper Dolberg is due in Sinsheim today that will complete his switch to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

Danish striker Kasper Dolberg’s rumored switch to the Bundesliga is nearly complete. Germany’s “Sport Bild” reports that the 25-year-old will report to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim headquarters in Sinsehim to complete a medical ahead of his move to Grmany’s Kraichgauer. Details on the actual arrangement are sketchy at this time, but the German tabloid reports that OGC Nice will retain rights to the attacker via a new loan arrangement.
Dolberg’s loan-contract with FC Sevilla has officially been cancelled. The 40-times-capped international made only four league appearances for the Spanish side this year. He was loaned out at the beginning of the season following a disappointing campaign in Ligue 1 last year. Dolberg’s current estimated market value, down from a peak of €23 million in October 2020, stands at €12 million.
Hoffenheim will certainly have immediate use for the Silkeborg-native. TSG trainer André Breitenreiter’s striking corps has been hit hard by injuries. The sidelining of Munus Dabbur and Ihlas Bebou has left Breitenreiter often unable to deploy two natural strikers in his preferred double set. “Sport Bild” reports that the Kraichgauer have secured a purchase option in the soon-to-be confirmed loan deal.
