While it seems like not much time has passed since Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal was ruled out with a season-ending knee injury, the reality is he has been recovering for four months.
Whilst there is still almost no chance of seeing the 33-year-old play in La Liga this season, Carvajal is eyeing a return in the summer.
As per Relevo, the veteran right-back has been photographed doing weight training and is making very good progress in his injury recovery.
Carvajal is eyeing this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup in the US to make his return, as the competition’s June start date gives him a possible date to work toward.
Real Madrid have really missed their versatile right-back this season, and the team has been more frail defensively in his absence, so fans of Los Blancos will be eagerly awaiting his return.
Further motivation for Carvajal will be the fact that he is one trophy away from being the club’s most decorated player in history.
