As broken by Toni Juanmartí at Relevo, Cristian Tello has agreed to join Los Angeles FC.
The 31-year-old winger was released by Real Betis at the end of last season and has been looking for a new club during this transfer window.
He is expected to sign his contract in the next few hours before his arrival being made official.
Tello will join Gareth Bale at Los Angeles FC, who came to the Californian side this summer following his exit from Real Madrid.
Even though the Spaniard had offers from leagues around Europe, he was interested in the exotic experience that playing in the United States offered.
Born in Sabadell, Tello came through the Barcelona youth setup. However, he was never quite able to establish himself as a regular starter.
Following loan spells and Porto and Fiorentina, he joined Real Betis for €4 million in 2017. Tello made 172 appearances for Los Verdiblancos and won the Copa del Rey with them at the end of last season.
