After SC Freiburg defender Keven Schlotterbeck and former Mainz midfielder Pierre Kunde Malong, Moritz Broschinski became VfL Bochum’s third January 2023 signing early Sunday. According to the same sources that reported on his transfer yesterday, a transfer fee in the low six figures is due for the 22-year-old.
“Moritz Broschinski is a highly talented striker who has already proven his abilities as a youngster at Cottbus and at Dortmund,” Bochum managing personnel director Patrick Fabian noted in a statement, “He’s strong mentally and has all the footballing and athletic skills to take the next step in the Bundesliga. We are convinced that he will succeed in this with us and that we will have a lot of success with him in the future.”
“Of course, even as a child you dream of playing in the Bundesliga one day,” the player himself added, “At VfL Bochum, I’m now one step closer to this dream which I’ve been working towards for years. I want to do my part to ensure that we will continue to play in the Bundesliga as a team next year.”
Broschinski’s new contract with the Revierklub runs through 2026.
