Newly promoted Serie A side Como are confident about signing former Manchester United and Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane this summer.
Como have already signed Andrea Belotti and they are starting to flex their financial muscle in the market, as they aim to stay in the division next season. Varane is a name that has been hotly linked with them in the last month or so.
Sky Italia have reported that the Lariani continue to push for the signature of the Frenchman, who seems likely to accept the offer from Cesc Fabregas’ club this summer. Como are growing in confidence that he would join the club and work is being done to reach an agreement.
The Azzurri are also working on a move to sign Real Betis’ Rodri Sanchez and are also keen on Marseille’s Pau Lopez, who has had a previous stint in Italy with Roma. Dinamo Zagreb’s Petar Sucic is also a target but the Croatian club’s valuation for him seems high.
