An insight into the stellar record boasted by La Liga giants Real Madrid in fixtures overseen by referee Clément Turpin has on Tuesday been forthcoming.
Real, of course, will mark their return to action on the continent in short order.
After making the trip to Germany on Monday, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops will take to the pitch at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night, for the first leg of their Champions League semi-final tie with Bayern Munich.
The aforementioned Clément Turpin, meanwhile, will be charged with overseeing proceedings in Bavaria.
A highly-regarded official boasting plenty of experience on the biggest stages, how, then, have Real Madrid fared in the past under his watch?
As revealed by Diario AS, altogether well…
Los Blancos have previously taken to the pitch on six occasions with Turpin as the man in charge.
And they emerged on the right side of the result in all six, at the expense of Ludogorets, Roma, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Napoli.
It is also worth noting, though, that Bayern Munich are also unbeaten in outings refereed by Frenchman Turpin, albeit with the Bundesliga heavyweights having been held to draws in two of their eight such fixtures.
