Said El Mala has reportedly attracted interest from several top clubs with his performances for 1. FC Köln this season – including Bayern Munich.
Speaking to Sky Germany recently, Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund made no secret of his admiration for the 19-year-old.
“He’s really doing well, has a lot of pace and is developing wonderfully,” Freund said.
Freund also commented on Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann’s decision to give El Mala his first senior call-up this month.
“I believe he can already contribute to the German national team. Julian must have thought this through carefully,” he said.
El Mala is under contract with Köln until 2030, and reports suggest the club could demand up to €60 million to let him go next summer.
