Chris Eubank Sr Calls for His Son to Have His Boxing Licence Revoked

Eubank Sr went on another furious tirade against his son, this time just days out from the biggest fight of his career

If the pressure on Chris Eubank Jr isn’t already enough, just days out from the biggest fight of his life, the furious tirades which his father, Eubank Sr, has been going on against him will certainly be amping the pressure on him. For weeks now, Eubank Sr has been speaking out against his son, even going as far as to brand him a “disgrace,” for slapping Conor Benn with an egg, and during a recent appearance on SunSport’s No Glove Lost show, he went on yet another damning tirade, this time, demanding that his son has his boxing licence taken off him.

Eubank Sr said the following on No Glove Lost:

“He must have his licence revoked. A lot of money? Some people don’t earn that money during their careers, but it’s nothing to him because of the money that he’s actually earning. But what he’s doing is sending a message which makes a mockery of boxing.”

Eubank Sr’s switch up on his son in recent weeks has been baffling, as even though he came out and condemned Jr’s actions following his egg slap on Benn, he was never this harsh, which may suggest that something in the last few weeks may have gone on behind the scenes between the Eubanks which has escalated their relationship, which has been very publicly deteriorating over the last few years.

WithEubank Jr just days away from the biggest fight of his life, these new comments from his father, will not help his preparation and mindset. It is also possible, though, that his father’s damning comments will have a reverse effect on Eubank Jr, and instead, he will come into the fight as motivated as ever.
