Chelsea are set to go head to head with Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Richarlison, according to Sky Sports.
Due to The Toffees’ financial conundrum at the moment, Everton are believed to be open to selling Richarlison and a bidding war could work massively in their favour.
The ex-Watford man also hinted at a possible exit from the blue half of Merseyside back in May when he was quizzed about his next move.
“I’ve already made it clear to the board,” the 25-year-old was quoted saying by the Daily Mail.
“I’ve already talked to [manager Frank] Lampard too, with my agents and they know what I want – Let’s wait for June.
“Now I can’t talk, because when we talk about leaving a club I’m kind of like this, because of the history I have at Everton, the affection that the fans have for me.”
Richarlison scored 10 league goals in 30 matches for Everton during the just-concluded season, including the winner in a crucial 1-0 victory over Chelsea.
Tottenham are seeking to add the Brazilian to their ranks but Antonio Conte’s men now face competition from the Blues, who recently let go of Romelu Lukaku on a loan switch to Inter Milan.
However, the Lilywhites could hold an advantage over their city rivals in the race for Richarlison as Everton are pursuing a deal for Spurs midfielder Harry Winks.
The north Londoners and their western counterparts have shared quite a lot of common transfer interest this summer as the sides were reportedly keen on Gabriel Jesus prior to his impending move to Arsenal, while Leeds United’s Raphinha is attracting interest from both clubs.
Chelsea are expected to be very active in the Premier League transfer window and could acquire the services of as many as three new forwards this summer.
Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele have both been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge with Thomas Tuchel even establishing contact with the former, per The Telegraph.
