According to The Evening Standard, Chelsea are considering sending Andrey Santos (19) on loan to RC Strasbourg Alsace until the end of the season.
The Brazilian midfielder was recalled from a loan spell at Nottingham Forest during the current transfer window after a lone appearance for the club which lasted for only eight minutes.
The Chelsea to Strasbourg pipeline
Chelsea are still keen for the midfielder to develop further and have turned to their sister club Strasbourg in the hope that Santos will feature more regularly under Patrick Viera’s management. And it is thought that the manager would be happy to welcome the addition of the Brazilian international to his squad.
This would not be the first time that a player has made the swap from London to Strasbourg in need of playing time with both clubs part of owner Todd Boehly’s multi-club network. Strasbourg has become somewhat of a development ground for the young talents not quite ready for the step up to the Chelsea first team.
