French U21 international Malo Gusto has returned to Lyon. The Chelsea loanee (19) was out of action for nearly two months now after picking up a thigh injury during Les Gones’ Coupe de France win against Lille on February 8th. Since then, Gusto was receiving medical treatment at Chelsea’s medical wing. The latter are said to have detected some physical flaws during the player’s medical in January, but the deal went ahead anyway. The 19-year-old had made the most of his time in the British capital to get fit for next season and to hang out in Chelsea’s dressing room in order to create ties with his future teammates.

The Rhône outfit have posted a video clip of Gusto training individually at Lyon’s training ground. The club said in a statement that the Chelsea loanee made his comeback to France last week in order to follow his recovery program to return to match fitness. Olympique Lyonnais add that Gusto’s return to competition will be determined in due course. However, it seems unlikely that Gusto will feature for Lyon’s Coupe de France semi-final against Nantes next week.
