Chelsea have reportedly completed the signing of Gabriel Mec from Gremio.
The two clubs have agreed to a deal worth more than €20 million for the youngster, according to Radio Imortal.
The 16-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for Gremio but has shown great promise with his displays for the youth side.
He has made six appearances in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, scoring once.
Mec’s performances have attracted attention from Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, but Chelsea have won the race to sign him.
The Blues recently secured the services of Palmeiras prodigy Estevao Willian who will join the club next summer.
The 17-year-old is one of the most exciting talents to emerge from Brazil.
Manager Enzo Maresca is aiming to revive Chelsea’s fortunes this season.
The Italian boss has added several top talents to his squad but their pre-season results haven’t been encouraging.
Chelsea lost 4-2 to Manchester City in their latest friendly in the United States, with Erling Braut Haaland bagging a superb hat-trick.
