Marca are reporting that Casemiro may leave Manchester United for Saudi Arabia just a year and a half after signing for the Premier League club. The former Real Madrid player is thought to have several offers from the Saudi Pro League, and both he and the club would be open to the move.
United are going through their own problems. They are out of the Champions League after finishing bottom of their group and are seventh in the Premier League. As a result, several players are reportedly contemplating their futures at the club and are looking into other options.
One of those is Casemiro, who has received offers from the Saudi league, and as with all offers from Saudi Arabia, a potential move would involve a lot of money. The move is even more likely given that United are willing to let the Brazilian leave as they look to rebuild their squad under their new ownership group.
Casemiro was their marquee signing last summer after paying €70m for the defensive midfielder, a fee that they will have to recover in part. Despite impressing in his first season, his second season, like the rest of the squad, has been disappointing.
The signing of Casemiro would signal the next wave of Saudi signings following a mass influx over the summer.
