With Matchday 29 of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews.com Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has picked his Team of the Week, this time lining up in a 4-1-3-2 formation:
Goalkeeper
Finn Dahmen, Augsburg
Made several impressive saves, eight in all, in Augsburg’s win over Bochum.
Defenders
Lukas Kübler, Freiburg
Put in a solid performance, setting up a goal, winning four duels and completing 86 percent of his passes.
Robin Koch, Eintracht Frankfurt
Was rock solid at the back, winning seven duels, and also got on the scoresheet.
Leopold Querfeld, Union Berlin
Played a key role as Union kept a clean sheet and held Bayer Leverkusen to a draw.
Raphael Guerreiro, FC Bayern
Made a big difference off the bench. Completed 93 percent of his passes and scored a great goal.
Midfielders
Angelo Stiller, VfB Stuttgart
Very dominant on the ball, especially in the first half, providing a number of clever passes, including the one that led to Stuttgart’s opener.
Xavi Simons, RB Leipzig
Led Leipzig to victory over Wolfsburg with two well-taken goals.
Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim
Netted an early double to lead Hoffenheim to a 2-0 victory over Mainz.
Serge Gnabry, FC Bayern
Provided real impetus off the bench for Bayern and scored a wonderful solo goal.
Strikers
Hugo Ekitiké, Eintracht Frankfurt
Another impressive display from the Frenchman, who provided an assist before getting on the scoresheet himself.
Oliver Burke, Werder Bremen
Bagged a brace to turn 0-1 into 2-1 against Stuttgart.
