Brighton monitoring Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi but move unlikely

Brighton and Hove Albion are keeping tabs on Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi, amidst keen interest from both Roma and Juventus.

Roma sporting director Tiago Pinto was recently involved in a meeting with Sassuolo and there was a discussion around inserting players in the deal. Juventus had also held talks with the Neroverdi and they had also discussed the possibility of including players in the move.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Sassuolo want atleast €30 million for the Italian midfielder and they would be happy to deal with Roma, if they include Cristian Volpato in the move. But Brighton are interested in the Neroverdi star, with Roberto de Zerbi having worked with him during his time at the Mapei.

The report states that Sassuolo are really good at inciting auctions for their players and they are probably doing the same in this case. While De Zerbi likes Frattesi, a move is unlikely as the Seagulls have other ideas currently.
