Bremen’s Deichstube fan-site reports that Bulgarian midfielder Ilia Gruev has left the club to complete an outgoing transfer.

Germany’s main sporting tabloid reported yesterday that SV Werder Bremen had rejected a €4 million offer for Bulgarian midfielder Ilia Gruev. The 23-year-old caught the eye of many Bundesliga watchers last season with some excellent performances amid 18 starts for the Hanseaten last season. Germany’s “Sport Bild” did not specify the club targeting Gruev, who tripled his estimated market worth from €1 million to €3 million during the 2022/23 campaign.
The SV’s “Deichstube” fan-site published an update on Gruev today, claiming that the eight-times-capped international has indeed been released from the team ahead of this evening’s DFB-Pokal fixture. The Bremen site also does not list the name of the club Gruev is heading to. After signing central midfielder Senne Lynen earlier this week, the Hanseaten may be more inclined to allow Gruev to depart for the right offer.
