Julian Nagelsmann doesn’t plan on using Bouna Sarr next season, according to Sport1.
The 30-year-old is free to leave Bayern Munich but interested clubs from France, Italy and Turkey are unwilling to pay his €2.5m salary. Sarr must now make a decision: stay at Bayern Munich and risk not being played, or take a salary cut.
Sarr played just 59 minutes of Bundesliga football last season across five games and has played just 27 games in all competitions since his €8m move from Marseille in 2020.
The Senegal international was overtaken in the pecking order last season by Josip Stanišić (22) whilst Bayern Munich have since completed the signing of Noussair Mazraoui from Ajax on a free transfer. Frenchman Benjamin Pavard can also provide cover at right-back.
Sarr has two-years remaining on his contract but Bayern Munich will allow the Senegalese to leave this summer, although finding a buyer could prove difficult.
