As reported by Sport Bild, Borussia Mönchengladbach have lowered their valuation of Manu Koné with several European clubs showing an interest in signing the Frenchman.
It was reported towards the end of last year that Borussia Mönchengladbach could earn more than the €45m that Arsenal paid for Granit Xhaka back in 2016, but it appears that Die Fohlen would now be open to selling Koné for as little as €30m.
The 21-year-old has a contract with Gladbach until 2025 and the player isn’t short of interest. Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, PSG and Premier League clubs have all shown interest in signing Koné.
With Ramy Bensebaini close to joining Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer and Marcus Thuram also leaving at the end of the season when his contract expires, Borussia Mönchengladbach are in need of a rebuild. Money generated from the sale of Koné, who has been one of Gladbach’s consistent performers in the last 18 months, will help with that.
