Borussia Dortmund’s Thorgan Hazard is set to join Anderlecht, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
An agreement in principle was reached between Hazard and Anderlecht, with the Belgian expected to sign a three-year contract with the possibility of a one-year extension. Patrick Berger further adds that an agreement between the two clubs is imminent, with Dortmund expected to pocket around €4m.
Anderlecht have just hours to complete the deal with their transfer deadline later today. Hazard is expected to complete his medical in Gent late this afternoon.
Hazard’s departure brings an end to his four-year stay at Dortmund. The 30-year-old spent the first six months of the year on loan at PSV, and played just six minutes of BVB’s opening game of the season against Köln, with the player not in the club’s plans.
During his time in Dortmund, Hazard scored 18 and created 21 in 123 games across all competitions.
