Jamie Bynoe-Gittens missed Borussia Dortmund’s 6-1 win against FC Köln on Saturday evening due to shoulder problems and according to Kicker, the Englishman will undergo further investigations during the international break to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem.
In Borussia Dortmund’s 1-0 win against Hoffenheim in September, Bynoe-Gittens dislocated his right shoulder and missed 17 games. However, the 18-year-old has been feeling a pain in his left shoulder joint since January, which caused him to miss BVB’s last game.
Bynoe-Gittens will undergo further tests during the international break to determine the exact cause and the worse case scenario would be a lengthy time on the sidelines. Both Karim Adeyemi and Julian Brandt are expected to return for Borussia Dortmund’s game against Bayern Munich on April 1, but losing Bynoe-Gittens would be a blow for Die Schwarzgelben.
Bynoe-Gittens has played 17 games across all competitions for Borussia Dortmund this season, scoring three and creating one.
