Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck has narrowed down his options if he decides to leave the club.
With Schlotterbeck’s contract expiring in 2027, and there being little progress in talks over an extension, there is a possibility that the 25-year-old could leave the club.
It is said he has narrowed down his options to two situations if he does choose to leave the Signal Iduna Park. Schlotterbeck wants to win titles, and at the moment, it is unlikely that Dortmund can offer him that.
So, the 25-year-old’s two options are either to move to Bayern Munich or to move to England, where Liverpool have previously been linked with the defender.
The upcoming games against Bayer Leverkusen in the league and DFB Pokal could play a role in helping to decide Schlotterbeck’s future.
Dortmund are growing nervous about Schlotterbeck’s situation:
West Deutsche Allgemeine Zeitung reports that the club are also growing nervous about the situation surrounding Schlotterbeck.
What the 25-year-old decides will also have an impact on their squad planning going forward.
