Speaking ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga game against Union Berlin on Sunday afternoon, BVB head coach Edin Terzic has set his players the goal of reducing their points gap to the league leaders to one.
“We’re always capable of creating goalscoring chances,” said Terzic. “Union are the team that contest the most challenges and cover the most ground in the league. We must hold firm. It’s about reducing the gap from four points to one.”
Borussia Dortmund have been given a huge boost ahead of Sunday’s clash. After returning to training on Wednesday, Marco Reus is in contention to start for BVB after an ankle injury has kept the 33-year-old out since end of last month.
Four points separate Union Berlin (1st) and Borussia Dortmund (4th) as we enter the 10th matchday. Urs Fischer’s Union have topped the Bundesliga since MD6 and the partnership Sheraldo Becker and Jordan Siebatcheu in attack has proved troublesome for opposition defences.
