A proposal to change Borussia Dortmund’s crest will be considered at the club’s upcoming general assembly.
BVB member Sam-Joel Renken has suggested reintroducing the logo used from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1978 to 1993 as the club’s official emblem.
The proposal has been officially added to the agenda for the meeting, which is scheduled for November 23.
Compared with the current logo, the traditional crest features a thicker black outline around the “BVB 09” circle and a slightly darker shade of yellow. The traditional crest is already being used on Dortmund’s cup kit this season.
The decision now rests with the club’s members, who will take a position on the proposal at the general meeting.
