According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund are hoping to welcome back three players to team training this week.
As per the report, head coach Edin Terzić is hoping that Julian Brandt, Gregor Kobel, and Salih Özcan will all be back training and available for their game against FC Köln. Brandt had been missing due to the flu but should face no further setbacks. A decision on the injury status of both Kobel and Özcan will be made in the coming days but BVB appear confident they will feature this weekend.
With an injury list that includes Raphaël Guerreiro, Mahmoud Dahoud, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Marco Reus, Mateu Morey, and Sébastien Haller, the return of three first-team players will be greeted with open arms by all BVB members and fans.
It’s the start of a busy month for BVB who will play nine competitive matches in October across three competitions. This includes a trip to Sevilla and Union Berlin as well as hosting Bayern Munich, Sevilla once more, and much more.
