As reported by Bild, Jorge Mendes has offered Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo (37) to Borussia Dortmund but the Bundesliga side have no interest in signing the Portuguese forward.
Ronaldo earns a reported €29m net salary at Manchester United and would break BVB’s salary structure. Additionally, BVB feel as though signing Ronaldo would stop the development of Youssoufa Moukoko (17), who has featured in all three competitive games this season.
Borussia Dortmund also last week confirmed the signing of Anthony Modeste (34) from FC Köln on a one-year contract as a replacement for Sébastien Haller, who is out for the foreseeable after undergoing surgery to remove a testicular tumour.
At 37, BVB also feel that Ronaldo is too old and therefore, a transfer to the Westfalenstadion will not happen.
Borussia Dortmund host Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon as they look to maintain their 100% winning start to their 2022/23 campaign.
