Borja Mayoral will come to a decision over his future at Real Madrid after the conclusion of the club’s tour of the United States, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
It appeared that the 25-year-old striker already had an agreement in place to stay at Getafe, but he told Real Madrid to delay the transfer so that he can make a final decision upon the team’s return from their American tour.
Mayoral is contracted to be at Real Madrid until 2023 and he wants to see whether Carlo Ancelotti is counting on him as a backup to Karim Benzema.
The Spaniard spent last season on loan at Getafe, where he scored seven goals in 29 games in all competitions, including one in the club’s Conference League campaign.
Borja Mayoral has also attracted interest from Celta Vigo, but he has expressed his desire to continue living in Madrid, even if he ends up leaving Los Blancos.
