Bologna captain Lewis Ferguson will likely have to settle for a place on the bench as they welcome Lille OSC in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The Scotland international has been recovering from injury and only played a handful of minutes in their last Champions League encounter, against AS Monaco, earlier this month. Samuel Iling-Junior, on loan from Aston Villa, will also likely have to settle for a place on the bench, as will former Toulouse FC striker Thijs Dallinga, who has yet to establish himself at Bologna since making the summer move.
Michel Aebischer, Oussama El Azzouzi, and Nicolò Cambiaghi are all out injured as the Serie A side look to register their first victory of the Champions League campaign.
