Having been unable to make an impact at Lille since his move from Clermont last summer, Guinea international striker Mohamed Bayo looks set to leave Les Dogues this summer. The forward has not been used yet this season by manager Pualo Fonseca.
According to Sky Sport Italia‘s Gianluca Di Marzio, Thiago Motta’s Bologna are interested in signing the forward. L’Équipe, meanwhile, have previously indicated that La Liga outfit Cádiz are also keeping an eye on the 25-year-old.
Bayo scored 36 league goals across two seasons with his hometown club – first in Ligue 2, and then in his first campaign in the top flight. His move north has not gone according to plan, though. Although he was recruited to provide competition for top scorer Jonathan David, the striker has been unable to carve out a regular spot in the team, and only scored four times. He was notably dropped from the squad at the start of last season after being pictured in a nightclub before a match against PSG.
