VfL Bochum interim trainer Markus Feldhoff promised a new set of tactics ahead of this weekend’s encounter with Bayern München whilst speaking at his Thursday pre-match press conference.

Appointed as one of Bochum’s two interim trainers on Monday, Markus Feldhoff hasn’t had much time to work with his team. Speaking at his Friday pre-match press conference, the 50-year-old nevertheless wished to convey that matters had largely proceeded smoothly this week in training.
“I have a good relationship with the team,” the Oberhausen-native noted, “There have been some disappointments for which I was not responsible. I can only say that the team is willing to perform. We have a plan A, B and C.”

Moreover, almost in a direct answer to tactically inclined Bundesliga watchers, summer acquisition Dani de Wit would assume a more forward role.
“I guarantee him a starting place,” Feldhoff said of the former Dutch youth international, who have proven something of a flop stationed further back thus far, “He is an important part of the team.”
