Bernardo is expected to miss VfL Bochum’s trip to Leverkusen on Friday.
Bochum coach Dieter Hecking has told WAZ that the defender is unlikely to play due to a knee problem.
“Unfortunately, Bernardo has knee problems, which makes us a bit worried,” Hecking revealed.
“He had Achilles tendon problems and now he has knee problems. It’s going to be tight for Friday. There’s a good chance he won’t play.”
Berbardo missed Bochum’s last Bundesliga game, a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt, through suspension.
In total, he has made 15 appearances this season.
