In a recent interview with WAZ, Bochum manager Thomas Reis stated that there are currently no contract extension talks between both parties.
Bochum would like to extend with trainer Thomas Reis, but both sides are struggling to find a solution. His contract expires in the summer of 2023 and no progress is being made for an extension.
Reis took over Bochum’s senior side in September of 2019 and led them to a Bundesliga promotion in 2021. The club exceeded expectations last season with a 13th place finish, but have spent less than €1 million in transfers this summer. They are winless through Matchday 2.
In an interview with WAZ, Reis stated that, “There are no talks at the moment. Nothing has been brought to my attention by my adviser. As long as that doesn’t happen, I’ll take care of my duties.”
When asked about why an agreement has not been reached, Reis responded that, “You have to ask the club. As of now, I am looking for a job from July 1, 2023. Everything is open from my side.”
