As reported by Kicker, Benjamin Pavard (26) has convinced Bayern Munich bosses with his recent performances and is now no longer a candidate for a summer departure.
The Frenchman has two-years remaining on his current deal but was reportedly offered to both Manchester United and Chelsea. However, no club approached Bayern in regards to signing Pavard.
Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann always wanted Pavard to remain at the club, who has started both of the club’s competitive games this season, against RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Noussair Mazraoui (24) still needs time to embed himself in at the Bundesliga champions following his free transfer from Ajax, and so Pavard is likely to remain at right-back in the early stages of the season, impressing in his two outings so far.
Since his €35m move from Stuttgart in 2019, Pavard has played 121 games in all competitions, predominantly at right-back.
