Bayern München and Fiete Arp have mutually agreed to terminate the player’s contract, according to Bild.
The German tabloid reports that the 22-year-old forward will receive €3 million in compensation following the termination of the contract, which was due to expire in 2023 – and not 2024 as previously believed.
In return for terminating the contract and letting Arp join Holstein Kiel, where he spent last season on loan, Bayern have agreed a 35 percent sell-on-clause for the forward.
Expectations were high when Arp was brought to Bayern from Hamburger SV for €3 million in 2019, but the striker never made his mark at Allianz Arena and made just one appearance for the senior side.
