Turkish champions Galatasaray are in advanced negotiations to sign Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane on a free transfer (h/t L’Equipe).
Bayern have been in talks to extend the German international’s contract – which expires this summer, but to no avail.
Sane has turned down the Bavarians’ improved offer worth €12 million plus €3.5 million in bonuses, signalling his desire to leave Allianz Arena as a free agent.
Arsenal were interested in securing the former Manchester City star, but he is now leaning towards a move to Turkey.
Galatasaray are confident of striking an agreement with Sane after proposing a three-year worth around €11 million per season.
Sane has been an integral part of the Bavarians over the years, registering 61 goals and 55 assists in 220 appearances.
However, the 29-year-old slipped down the pecking order under manager Vincent Kompany this season.
Nevertheless, he contributed massively to Bayern regaining the Bundesliga title from Bayer Leverkusen, bagging 11 goals and six assists.
He was also part of Julian Nagelsmann’s German squad that lost the Nations League semi-finals and the third-place game last week.
With a move to Galatasaray looking imminent, Sane will not represent Bayern in the Club World Cup this month.
Bayern are also looking to sell Kingsley Coman to raise funds this summer. Saudi clubs are showing concrete interest in the Frenchman.
The German champions have identified Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams and AC Milan winger Rafael Leao as top targets to bolster their attack.
Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Bradley Barcola is also on their wishlist, however, the French outfit are unwilling to sanction his sale.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray are also trying to extend the loan of Victor Osimhen following his stellar 2024/25 season.
A host of European giants, including Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in the Napoli star, who has turned down a lucrative move to Al-Hilal.
