Thomas Müller has admitted he and the rest of the Bayern Munich squad were surprised by Marcel Sabitzer’s deadline day move to Manchester United on loan.
“The team was surprised. It happened very quickly,” Müller said in an interview with Kicker.
“I’m happy for ‘Sabi’ that he’s moving to Manchester United and that he’s getting the chance to play there. Manchester is a huge name.
“But he will be back in the summer. The chapter here is not over yet,” emphasized the Bayern veteran and added that he believes Sabitzer is “a cool guy and a super player”.
Sabitzer remains under contract with Bayern until 2025.
