Bayern Munich Ready to Go All Out to Sign Arsenal Star Kai Havertz

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is being eyed by Bayern Munich for a summer transfer back to Germany, according to Fichajes.

The Gunners have had a magnificent season, sitting top of the Premier League and Champions League, while they also reached the Carabao Cup final thanks to a 4-2 aggregate win over Chelsea this week, with Havertz netting the winner against his former club.

Bayern have had a long-term interest in the former Leverkusen sensation, and they are now looking to take advantage of the fact that he isn’t a guaranteed starter at the Emirates by making a move to take him back to the Bundesliga to be part of Vincent Kompany’s attack.

Havertz, who earns around £275,000-a-week according to David Ornstein, was initially signed from Chelsea to play in midfield for the north London outfit alongside Martin Odegaard, before becoming the first-choice striker ahead of Gabriel Jesus.

But a lack of goals last season saw the club move to sign Viktor Gyokeres in a big-money deal to solve their goal woes, while Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi’s arrivals in midfield have meant that the Germany international has fallen way down the pecking order.

It has now emerged that Bayern are plotting a move to sign Havertz this summer as they look for cover for Harry Kane, and a replacement for Nicolas Jackson, while they see Havertz’s versatility as a huge positive to contributing to the squad.

The Bavarian side are said to be preparing a major financial offer to convince Arsenal to part ways and won’t spare any financial resource to get a deal done, while Havertz is open to the move to secure more regular first-team football as his current deal is due to expire in 2028.

Bayern are confident of striking an agreement with the player and club, although it remains unclear what Arsenal’s stance on a deal is at this stage.

Arsenal Could See Havertz in Big-Money Deal

There were some big question marks about the deal to bring Havertz to Arsenal, and while he has become a key player under Arteta, there is clear room for improvement with his performances and within the squad.

Arteta loves Havertz, and the fans have grown to love him during his time at the club. However, a big offer could be very tempting, especially when he only has two years remaining on his contract, and it would allow the club to reinvest on other players, while also putting more belief in the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Gyokeres.
