Sport1 reports that Ajax’s Jurriën Timber could be a possible Plan B for Bayern Munich if talks over a contract extension with Benjamin Pavard fail.
Pavard’s agent is Pini Zahavi, with whom Bayern has a history when it comes to negotiating, as he has represented Robert Lewandowski and David Alaba, who have left the club over the past two years.
Bayern will try to negotiate a contract extension for the 26-year-old but if no agreement can be reached he will be sold. Pavard has attracted interest from Barcelona and Inter Milan and his current deal expires in 2024.
If Pavard is to be sold, Bayern will look to Timber as the replacement. The 21-year-old pleases Bayern Munich, who also held an interest in him last summer. Timber extended his contract at Ajax to 2025 last summer.
However, there is no rush as Bayern sees negotiating a contract extension with Pavard as the priority.
