According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern Munich have considered a winter move for Manchester United and former France international centre-back Raphaël Varane (30).
Reports suggest that internal discussions have taken place regarding the United defender and that the German giants are interested in the player but believe the move is currently unrealistic because of the Frenchman’s salary.
The Premier League club have reportedly informed Bayern that a departure in the winter for Varane is possible, and that the Red Devils currently value the defender at €20-30m, who will command a salary of more that €19.5m United are not reportedly willing to let the player move to Bavaria on loan.
The German champions are yet to make a move for the former Lens and Real Madrid defender, who remains under observation for the next few weeks.
