As reported by Bild, the bosses at Bayern Munich assume Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will extend his contract at the club if he receives a salary increase. His current deal expires at the end of the season.
Bild also report that Bayern would be happy to give the 33-year-old an increased salary. He currently €3.5 million, however with this increase it will only be a year long contract. Which is usual for Bayern to offer a player over 30.
Choupo Moting currently has six goals and two assists in 10 games for Bayern and has experienced a resurgence of not only his career but of the Bayern Munich attack. Ever since Choupo Moting started for Bayern since the international break, Bayern have won every game and which saw them finish the year in first.
The striker is also in action during the World Cup with Cameroon. They open their tournament against Switzerland before playing Serbia and finishing the group stages off against Brazil.
