Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that FC Bayern München are turning their attention to long-time DSC Arminia Bielefeld net-minder Stern Ortega in their search for a new keeper.

FC Bayern München’s search for a new keeper has reportedly led them to the Isle. Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that the FCB bosses are keen on brining 30-year-old Stefan Ortega Moreno back to Germany. The long-time Arminia Bielefeld #1 departed the Bundesrepublik following the DSC’s relegation at the end of the 2021/22 campaign and signed with Manchester City on a free.
Ortega has made a total of 14 appearances across all competitions for the Pep Guardiola’s triple-title-winners, including two in the Champions’ League. Plettenberg reports that City are keen to extend with the Hofgeismar-native, then possibly loan him out to the German champs. Ortega spent three seasons in Munich representing 1860 München in the 2. Bundesliga between 2014 and 2017.
