Christian Früchtl and Ron-Thorben Hoffmann have both departed Bayern München.
Bayern München have confirmed the departures of goalkeepers Christian Früchtl and Ron-Thorben Hoffmann, who will leave the German champions to join Austria Vienna and Eintracht Braunschweig, respectively.
“We would like to thank Christian and Ron-Thorben for our many successful years together. Both joined our youth section at a young age and went on to progress through all of FC Bayern’s junior teams, proving their great talent at all age levels and subsequently as members of the senior squad,” commented Bayern board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic.
“For Christian, the move to Austria Vienna is the necessary next step in his career. It was his wish, and we understand that. We also have a responsibility to make this development possible for him.
“Ron-Thorben was able to show his very great potential among other things in 24 competitive appearances with Sunderland last season. At Eintracht Braunschweig, he will now resolutely continue on his path. He wants match practice, and we are convinced he can become a strong mainstay for Braunschweig in Bundesliga 2. We wish both of them every success for their future.”
