Kicker reports that Bayern are “cautiously optimistic” about extending Serge Gnabry’s contract.

Bayern München remain hopeful that Serge Gnabry will extend his contract, which expires in 2023.

According to Kicker, the Bayern bosses are “cautiously optimistic” that Gnabry will sign a new deal, with the winger’s future expected to be cleared up in the near future.

Bayern board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic recently made it clear that the German champions “really want to keep” Gnabry.

“We would love to extend with him. I think we have showed him the necessary appreciation. I hope that he chooses FC Bayern,” said Salihamidzic.

Gnabry scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 45 games for Bayern last season.
