Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies are still haggling over a contract extension, according to Bild.
The German newspaper claims that there was a meeting between Bayern and Davies’ agent, Nick Huoseh, on Tuesday.
Davies’ future remains up in the air, with Bayern offering a salary of €13-14 million per year and the Canadian international demanding up to €20 million, the report states.
Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund recently said it’s “not unlikely” that Davies will extend his contract beyond 2025.
“There are talks and the talks are good and open. We’ll see what happens in the next few weeks,” he said.
“Phonzie feels very comfortable in Munich and loves playing for FC Bayern. I’m not negative at all.”
Real Madrid are believed to be interested in the 23-year-old.
